The Standard Barbershop

An animal-loving neighborhood barbershop in Fairfax City, The Standard has kept a shop dog on the premises since opening in 2015, and it runs an ongoing donation drive for Fairfax County Animal Services. The barbers work with all hair types and textures, in styles that range from classic to current. Services include custom haircuts, buzz cuts, beard trims with straight-razor outlining, and old-fashioned straight razor shaves with hot towels, hot lather and aftershave. The crew includes barbers Tommy, Frank, Lance, Inyoung, Berenice, Kevin and Harrison, along with manager Alina. Inside, dark walls are packed with framed posters and art above tufted black barber chairs.
