Part barbershop and part salon, American Male in Berwyn has spent more than 25 years building a men's grooming spot that pulls from both traditions. Along with haircuts, the menu includes hand and foot detailing, body waxing, facials, camouflaging and massage, and the stylists go through detailed training. The front room is relaxed, with dark armchairs set around a low wooden table and a cushioned seat built into the big front window. The shop opens later on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, which makes those nights handy for an after-work cut, and it is closed Sundays and Mondays.
